Kelowna - Uncontrolled Asthma
Many people living with asthma continue to experience symptoms despite using standard treatments such as inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) and long-acting beta-agonists (LABAs). If you’ve had an asthma attack in the past year and are still struggling with your symptoms despite taking controlled medications, you may qualify for this research study.
The NAZARE Study is a clinical trial looking into a new investigational medication (anti-TSLP antibody) that may offer a different approach to managing uncontrolled asthma. The investigational study medication is given by injection and works by targeting the underlying inflammation that contributes to asthma symptoms.
This study may be suitable for you if you:
- Are between 18 and 75 years old
- Have been diagnosed with asthma for at least 12 months
- Are currently taking medium or high-dose ICS + at least one additional controller medication
- Have experienced one or more asthma exacerbations in the past 12 months (e.g., ER visit, hospitalization, or steroid use)
